The church still conserves the pre-Romanesque chevet built during the 10th century. The trapezoidal apse is covered by a slightly overhanging barrel vault due to the walls not having been calculated properly for the load. For this reason they had to be reinforced with iron structure in modern times. A slight overshooting voussoir Roman arch links the apse with the nave.
